Let's talk about the 3 P's of Success!

Purpose:

Perhaps the most important decision you make in life is defining your purpose. Your purpose is your WHAT and WHY! What do you plan on accomplishing in your life and why? Many struggle with defining their purpose because they’re not specific with what it is they want to achieve; they create lofty and vague goals which ultimately leads to anxiety, disinterest and despair.

Ensure your purpose(s) is/are:

HONEST — be honest with who you are and what you enjoy doing; work for something only if your heart is truly in it

SPECIFIC — you may have multiple purposes for each aspect of your life (e.g. career, relationships, health, etc.), be as specific as you can

Prioritization:

We all have multiple responsibilities (relationships, finances, career, health, etc.) but we can’t devote 100% of our time, attention and energy to all at once. Prioritization is the process of defining what is most important to you — it’s your WHEN and HOW! We must decide what is important at any given time, & then plan how we are going to achieve it.

The keys to effective prioritization:

ELIMINATION - eliminate anything that doesn’t serve your greater purpose; don’t waste your precious time/energy/money on things that don’t affect the outcome

PLANNING - solid preparation leads to successful execution and results; before you embark on a project do your research, identify the most valuable resources and create a detailed plan

Productivity:

Don’t confuse being busy with being productive! Working without intention is useless. Break down your end goal into small, manageable tasks that add value towards your end goal. Planning can often be easier than the execution but if you plan wisely & work consistently, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

The most important habits for productivity are:

CONSISTENCY - means focusing % of your attention, energy & time with purpose & intention on your task; it requires dedication & perseverance

ACCOUNTABILITY - hold yourself accountable for how you spend your most valuable assets — attention, energy & time; remember these assets are finite so use them wisely
